I promised you some kind of an update today and hey, there are four more strips to go along with it! Mayumi and Giovanni finally meet and the conversation begins.
As for the future of Yonkoma Nuzlocke… I’ve hinted in the last update that some big changes might be in store and today I’m returning to officially disappoint you by stating that still nothing is in a state I could call confirmed. Whatever happens, Yonkoma Nuzlocke will continue, make no mistake, and my plans are not looking any less likely than they did when I was vaguely yapping about them in the previous post, but I still can’t make my yapping any less vague, unfortunately.
For now, all I will say is that I will do my upmost to have an answer for you in time for the 12th anniversary on November 19th, hopefully with an actual comic update too. Whether it works out or not, consider that “the next post date” once again. Thanks for being patient, which for the sake of my sanity I’m going to assume you are.
I’m sure that some among you have noticed the lack of updates. Some of those some might even be wondering whether or not that is going to change anytime soon. Well, for those curious souls among you, I’m here with some things that might be called “answers”. Or maybe not, you’ll see.
Contrary to what it most likely seems like, I am indeed working on Yonkoma Nuzlocke. I haven’t been for the entire duration of this newest hiatus, no, but I sure have been for a while. However, being the #1 person sick of the long unexpected breaks, I don’t want to resume updates until I am confident I’ve found a way to avoid those. This is not the first time I’m saying something like this and you might be wondering if anything is going to be different this time around. And unexpectedly, it just might be. I don’t want to disclose any details yet, but let’s just say the… negotiations seem to be going well.
Collective gasp! What does that mean?
Well, it’s no coincidence my self-insert character is called “The Author” and not, say, “The Artist”, but do calm down. There’s still no guarantee of anything. In fact, that’s the reason I hesitated to write this post for so long. I didn’t want to get your hopes up until everything is 100% confirmed, which it still isn’t. But at this point you deserve to have something. You deserve to at least know that your wait will eventually pay off, one way or another. And maybe part of it is for my own sake – so that even if, God forbid, this newest plan doesn’t work out after all, you will at least be aware that I have indeed been trying and not just sitting around playing games and eating banana ice cream.
So what does this post amount to, really? It’s all pretty vague, I know. So let me leave you with one concrete thing: no matter what happens, I will bring you up to speed again on October 10th. I might have good news, bad news, mixed news or maybe even nothing new to say beyond reiterating what I’ve said in this post. But I don’t want to keep you in the dark, so expect to hear something from me then.
And thanks for caring at all. It actually means a lot.
Easter is almost upon us, but first let’s take a peek at what’s going on with Gary and Kae. Surely this update, seeing as it deals with a dangerous predicament they’ve found themselves in, will be serious in tone and present the threat with all the gravitas it deserves… Wait, what is he doing here?
Next update: April 11th UPDATE: Unfortunately, I’m forced to delay the next update until April 25th. Sorry about that.
New update, taking place, shockingly, in Saffron City. More Saffron City. Remember the old joke about how much time we spent in Pewter City at the beginning of the comic? Ah, how naïve I was…
