Still think it was too easy to deduce. I mean, chibiGary receives a Pokémon from a stranger. Who could that Pokémon end up with, if it wasn't returned to the stranger (who had some obvious reasons to disappear soon afterwards)? With chibiGary's parental figure of course, professor Oak! Really, I'm giving you too much information before actually revealing stuff.

Hey, remember him? And his sudden panic upon learning Doug received a Squirtle from Oak? Makes much more sense now, doesn’t it?
