Yonkoma Nuzlocke: Fire Red

Today is the 12th anniversary of Yonkoma Nuzlocke. We have four badges. Oh boy.

This update is just a little bit of me indulging in some self-satisfaction by revisiting some of my personal favorite yonkoma strips thus far. They’re not necessarily the absolute Top 4, I haven’t worked out any such ranking in detail, but they’d all make it to the Top 10 for sure. I wonder if you have any particular YN strips that stick with you the most?

But what’s in store for year 13, you ask me. Like I’ve already made clear, big positive changes are coming, but I’m trying to dedicate time now to ensure an uninterrupted stream of regular updates after I kick things off properly. Not gonna lie, even though there’s maybe like one of you out there waiting and nobody’s holding their breath, I’ve been stressing myself out with imaginary expectations, which only serves to impede my productivity. So for the sake of my own sanity and Yonkoma Nuzlocke itself, I’ve gotta do what I’ve been avoiding and just come out and say it like a jackass: YN will be back when it’s back. Current estimates promise a big update around end of March or beginning of April, but it’s not a promise, since I’m going to do my best to focus on doing things right, rather than doing them fast. That’ll be an improvement anyway, since for years now I haven’t been able to achieve either.

I might still post a little Christmas illustration or something on December 24th though, and if I have any further information to share at that point, I will. Sorry about being vague and keeping you waiting, but this here hiatus just might end up being the last one if I play my cards right, no joke. So I recommend putting your e-mail on the notification list, forgetting about Yonkoma Nuzlocke entirely for a couple months and letting me blindside you with what’s coming. Fun things are in store.
