Forgot to ask, but why is vang there? Wasn’t he left behind,
The one who was left behind was Lott (the second-strongest Vang as Klow put it). Vang might be a rebel, but there’s still no way Doug would leave his best fighter as a messenger when heading to fight Rockets.
